I want you to know.. before you read this.. I was bullied… so please do not take offence to the comic strip… I did not abuse my character… I was making a point… of how others perceive and treat… but Hampy no longer is in comic strips… he is teaching goodwill and love to others… through their struggles… my character… and I love this… He built character along side his creator…. they learned together on a journey… and today? We know… we will send that proper message out… not the one the creator felt 15 years ago… but the one the creator felt 38 years ago when I, LaurieAnn, knew…
Hampy is special… and the the kind side of the mirror of me!!! I don’t care if people say I’m too nice.. I will take it… that is my Hampy. However, when my guard goes down and I feel a bit Not So Right?
I go back to what my friends told me and I ask… What would Hampy do? Being a reflection of Hampyness with obvious not a normal person look?
Comes back to me every time I think that… pull the good LaurieAnn back… It really isn’t that hard… But interesting to see?? what is below this intro (that rhymes) 🙂

Interesting world we live in when we find ourselves somewhere on the internet we didn’t think we would.
About 11 years ago I was just having fun googling Hampy. I found out that there is a Tailoring Store in Israel that owns the .com. All good. Then I found this Stripper’s Guide site. It sounds bad, but it’s really not!! It’s about comic strips and a list of those syndicated.
I like to think of this search as Internet Mining… (digging back down in the bowls of old information, like at one time you did in the cards in a Library)… I found this… And true. Hampy was syndicated at one time by a company in 1988… that pretended to be a Syndicator, and took your money and did nothing. I still have the proof of that in silly paper and sadly typed on a typewriter contract. They printed fake brochures, sent them to me… sent me out a weekly fake printed bulletin by mail, and I am not even sure where they were from! But I was so excited that my submission was accepted and I only had to pay $1000 USD to make my dream come true.

But remember, back in 1988, the Internet hadn’t bloomed yet, so you relied on… Oops I will stop here. Does this still happen? To me? Not anymore! People ask me now… What Would Hampy Do? I would research. But above all though.. remember, this young lady had no???… no google then!!

I am so Hampy to be able to create my own world now. But I do have to say, I am in admiration that the site I found proof of my paying for syndication and although nothing occurred, I learned very valuable lesson (in trust and being smart and qualifying before you jump ahead)… This link to me… when I found it? was a piece of gold. :)…
